An established Honda automotive dealership is seeking an accomplished Service Manager to lead its service operation.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced fixed operations professional who knows how to build a strong team, create an exceptional customer experience, and maintain a productive and profitable service department. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing the daily operation while also focusing on long-term department growth.
The Opportunity
The Service Manager will have responsibility for the overall performance and day-to-day leadership of the service department. This individual will work closely with dealership leadership to strengthen processes, develop employees, improve customer retention, and achieve operational and financial objectives.
The successful candidate will bring a balanced approach to the position—understanding that strong financial performance comes from engaged employees, efficient processes, quality repairs, and customers who trust the dealership with their vehicles.

What We Are Looking For
Qualified candidates should have previous automotive dealership service management experience and a demonstrated ability to lead both people and operations.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Successful experience managing a franchised automotive service department • Strong leadership and employee-development skills • Working knowledge of dealership service operations and financial performance • Experience managing technicians and service advisors in a fast-paced environment • Strong understanding of customer satisfaction and retention • Ability to interpret departmental reports and use performance data to make operational decisions • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Ability to establish expectations and hold team members accountable in a professional manner • Familiarity with manufacturer warranty processes and dealership management systems • Valid driver's license and ability to meet dealership driving requirements
Experience with Honda is preferred, although accomplished service leaders from other franchised automotive dealerships are encouraged to apply.

The ideal Manager has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of three to five years of dealer-level or large facility experience, post-secondary automotive training, is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (or is willing to obtain certification), and has a strong technical and customer service performance record.

- Meets/greets customers in person or on phone
- Arranges prompt and accurate diagnosis of reported problem
- Makes best-value repair recommendations based upon nature of the problem
- Manages delivery of required repair action by successfully setting and managing customer expectations
- Maintains documentation, including PO, invoices, work orders, reports, etc.
- Enforces organizational safety standards
- Ensures appropriate parts inventory is maintained
- Manages service repair team-- Promotes a 'white-glove' environment to showcase the repair facility
- Recruits, interviews, and hires top talent in order to maintain high-quality service levels
- Develops, mentors, and motivates staff
- Takes 'ownership' and accepts accountability for service operations
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
