Join us as we work to unlock the value of offshore wind! JERA Nex bp is a new joint venture between JERA, Japan’s largest power generation company, and bp, one of the world’s leading energy companies. Established to unlock the potential of offshore wind across the globe, our talented team, exciting pipeline and solid capital commitment give us the potential to become one of the world’s most successful offshore wind companies.

We entered the market with a portfolio of operational and development assets, alongside the resources, capabilities and resilience to deliver offshore wind energy at scale.

Why this role matters

We are looking for an experienced Interface Manager to support the successful delivery of large scale offshore wind and EPCI projects.

In this role, you will coordinate and govern interfaces between all (technical and non-technical) project packages, support decision-making, align scope boundaries, and manage project change processes in a structured and transparent way.

Working closely with Package Managers, Project Leadership, PMO functions, and technical specialists, you will help ensure that interfaces, decisions, and changes are aligned, documented, and effectively governed throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work within a matrix reporting structure, reporting functionally to the Head of Project Controls at corporate level and reporting to the PMO Manager on your assigned projects.

In this role you will

Interface Management

  • Lead the full implementation and continuous improvement of the project Interface Management Procedure.
  • Identify, coordinate, and help resolve interfaces between project packages, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain interface registers and ensure actions, agreements, decisions, risks, and issues are tracked and escalated where required.
  • Technical decision coordination
  • Coordinate cross-package decisions and contribute to the preparation of decision packages and governance reviews where required.
  • Ensure technical decisions are formally resolved, documented, approved, and traceable.

Management of Change

  • Act as process owner for the project's Management of Change (MoC) process.
  • Coordinate change assessments across technical, cost, schedule, scope, and risk disciplines.
  • Ensure changes are assessed, documented, and processed in line with project governance, procedures, and thresholds.

Scope Management, Demarcation & Coordination

  • Coordinate scope alignment, ownership, responsibilities, and deliverable demarcation across project packages.
  • Maintain project scope management tools and documentation.
  • Ensure HSE, technical safety, regulatory, and compliance considerations are addressed in interface discussions, involving specialists where required.
  • Responsible for coordinating licenses, training and setting up of the software tools within the interface management procedures in the project.

To be successful in the role you will bring:

Essential

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in offshore wind, energy, marine, infrastructure, construction, or other complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, contractors, and technical disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, change management, and risk management processes.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience within EPCI project delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of interface management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with project management software and collaboration platforms.
  • Understanding of HSE and regulatory requirements within large infrastructure projects.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
