The posting

About us

At Jigsaw, we’re on a mission to transform the way professional services and financial institutions work. We do this by helping our clients organise, visualise and use their data (think Figma or Canva but for the ‘City’). Our clients include the world’s biggest consultancies, leading financial institutions and top law firms.

Jigsaw was founded by two seasoned entrepreneurs, Stephen and Travis. This is their second venture together; their first was acquired by a US private equity firm and went on to become a billion-dollar company and a household name in professional service firms across the world. Jigsaw is now on a growth trajectory few Series A companies achieve - putting us in the top quartile SaaS companies globally. Today we proudly serve thousands of users from nearly two hundred businesses worldwide, who love our products and use them everyday.

But we’re only getting started! We have ambitious goals and we’re looking for talented people to help us achieve them.

Why join us?

We're not about the corporate grind; instead, we thrive on creativity, enthusiasm, and a touch of humour to make magic happen.

We hire people with high ownership and a bias for action. Then we trust and empower them to do their best work.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for three Trainees to join Jigsaw in January 2027 on a 12-month rotational programme. It's an entry-level, generalist scheme: you'll work across the three core functions of Jigsaw, Client, Build and Ops, seeing how most of the business runs, and working out where your strengths really lie.

You don't need a degree, and you don't need to have done this kind of work before. We don’t care about a polished CV, we want someone with the right attitude, energy, and a curiosity to try out a range of different roles. At the end of the year there's the potential for a permanent role.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

This programme is for people who don't yet know exactly what they want to do next, and see that as a reason to explore rather than a problem to fix. You might be leaving school, college or university, or returning to work after a career change and happy to start at square one.

It's not for you if you already know the career you're chasing. If you want to become a software engineer, a lawyer or a specialist in one field, a dedicated graduate or apprenticeship scheme will serve you better. Here you'll move teams every few months, switch between very different kinds of work, and won't be specialising in any one craft.

HOW THE YEAR WORKS

You'll report to our COO, who has helped build several successful startups. Each rotation gives you real work to own, with people in the team to learn from along the way.

ONBOARDING AND PRODUCT SUCCESS (FIRST SIX WEEKS)

You'll start together as a cohort. You'll spend time with our Product Marketing team learning about the product and who our clients are, then join Product Success. There you'll see the end-to-end cycle of what we build, how clients use it and how it gets implemented, and you'll start working with clients yourself. From there, each of you moves into a different area and you rotate through the rest of the year.

CLIENT

You'll learn how we identify what a client needs and how we pitch Jigsaw. In prospecting, you'll get to know our ideal customer profiles, reach out to and build relationships with potential clients, and report on sales results. In Customer Success, you'll support existing clients, shadow client calls, organise training sessions on behalf of a Customer Success Manager, help shape retention strategies and find ways the team can work more efficiently with AI. You may also help with marketing and social content.

BUILD

You’ll get involved in the day-to-day operations of how a technology company plans and manages their work. You'll see how a product gets built in an AI-native company, and how that changes the way the work is done. You'll follow the journey from an idea to the roadmap to a shipped feature.

OPS

You'll learn what it takes to scale a business of any kind. In RevOps, you'll help organise the sales tools we use, such as HubSpot and Jiminny, shape the playbook the sales team runs on, and build the content and emails we use for outreach. Across Ops, you'll develop strategic thinking, project management and commercial awareness, and may take on AI project work.

YOU'LL THRIVE IF

- You'd rather explore and find the right thing than follow a set path

- It genuinely bugs you when something isn't working as well as it could, and you want to fix it

- You're curious, get stuck in and enjoy solving problems you haven't seen before

- You communicate well, get on with all kinds of people and can think on your feet

- You adapt quickly and bounce back when things don't go to plan

- You can point to goals you've set yourself and hit, whether in study, work, sport, a hobby or a side project

- You're low-ego, coachable and take ownership of the outcome

WHAT YOU'LL GET

A YEAR THAT GIVES YOU A GENUINE HEAD START, WHEREVER YOU GO NEXT:

- A view of the whole business. Few early-career roles let you see how a growing software company wins clients, builds product and scales its operations, all in one year

- Real work from the start. Each rotation comes with work you own and deliver, not just tasks to shadow, and you'll work directly with clients at some of the world's leading law firms and financial institutions

- Support around you. You'll join as a cohort of three, report to our COO and have people in each team to learn from, with regular check-ins and reviews throughout each rotation

- Skills that travel. You'll build communication, problem-solving, project management and commercial skills, and learn how an AI-native company works day to day

- Clarity on what's next. By the end of the year you'll know where your strengths lie, with the potential to move into a permanent role at Jigsaw

WHAT TO EXPECT

- A video screening call: An intro call with a member of the people team to learn more about you, and what you’re looking to get out of this programme

- A video hiring manager call: Meet with the COO who will want to understand more about your ways of working and how you tackle challenges

- An on-site interview day: If selected, you’ll join us in our London office on November 27th. You’ll complete a group task, meet with some of our managers, and stay for Friday drinks to get to know the rest of the team

As this programme is based out of our London office, you’ll need to be able to commit to our hybrid 3-days in office arrangement, and hold full UK working rights. Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide sponsorship for this programme.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

The numbers game

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
