Assistant Manager – Sales Strategy, Distribution Sales

JioStar | Gurgaon, India

Role Summary

Drive business planning, commercial strategy, and data-led decision-making for JioStar’s Distribution Sales business, supporting a portfolio of approximately 230+ cable partners. Leverage business analytics, revenue modelling, pricing scenario analysis, and performance monitoring to identify growth opportunities, improve portfolio performance, and enable strategic decisions by senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Planning & Strategy: Support distribution business planning, performance reviews, and strategic initiatives by translating market trends, partner performance, and historical business data into actionable recommendations.
  • Revenue Forecasting & Financial Modelling: Develop revenue models and pricing scenarios to evaluate rate revisions, commercial decisions, and deal renewals, assessing their potential impact on revenue, partner economics, and portfolio performance.
  • Business Analytics & Reporting Automation: Build and maintain performance dashboards, automate recurring MIS and subscriber reporting, and streamline analytical workflows to improve reporting efficiency, data visibility, and decision-making turnaround time.
  • Distribution Partner Performance Management: Monitor business performance across cable partners, analyze subscriber trends and churn, identify underperforming accounts, and support initiatives to drive reach, revenue growth, and monetization.
  • Revenue Assurance & Collections Analytics: Conduct periodic debt and receivables analysis to identify revenue leakages, monitor overdue accounts, and support corrective actions to improve collection efficiency.
  • Leadership Reporting & Cross-functional Collaboration: Prepare business insights and performance updates for senior leadership, partnering with sales, marketing, finance, and analytics teams to support commercial planning, resource allocation, and execution of business initiatives.
