The Category Manager, Infrastructure, Networks, Telecom & End User supports the development and execution of sourcing strategies across infrastructure hardware, network connectivity, telecom/mobile services, and end-user computing. This position works closely with IT infrastructure leads and business stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and deliver measurable value within the category.

This role executes category strategy and supplier negotiations under the direction of the Category Director, Infrastructure & Telco, escalating deals or decisions that exceed standard delegation of authority thresholds.

This role supports category management across the following sub-categories:

  • Infrastructure Hardware (servers, storage, and data center equipment)
  • Networks (WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, and connectivity services)
  • Telecom & Mobile (fixed line, mobile carrier, and unified communications services)
  • End User Computing (laptops, desktops, peripherals, and print services)

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Support development of category strategies for infrastructure, networks, telecom, and end-user computing, aligned with JLL's overall business strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Maintain internal demand plans across assigned sub-categories, identifying consolidation and refresh-cycle optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with IT infrastructure leads and business stakeholders to ensure sourcing activity reflects regional requirements.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities within assigned sub-categories and escalate strategic recommendations to the Category Director, Infrastructure & Telco.

Supplier & Market Management

  • Maintain relationships with key infrastructure, network, telecom, and end-user hardware suppliers within assigned sub-categories.
  • Support supply base rationalization efforts and help maintain the category's strategic supplier framework.
  • Execute Supplier Relationship Management for the assigned sub-categories to the framework, segmentation and cadence in partnership with the Procurement Centre of Excellence — running reviews to standard, maintaining scorecards and capturing outputs — and complete third party risk management activity in line with the TPRM framework.
  • Track market trends, hardware refresh cycles, and telecom pricing models to inform sourcing recommendations.

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead procurement events for assigned sub-categories including RFP development, bid management, commercial evaluation, and contract execution.
  • Support delivery of financial targets including cost savings, cost avoidance, and value-add outcomes.
  • Maintain the category project calendar for assigned sub-categories, ensuring timely execution of sourcing events and renewals.
  • Prepare contract documents and recommendations in line with JLL's Delegation of Authority.

Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain an accurate savings tracker for assigned sub-categories, providing visibility of value delivered to internal stakeholders.
  • Support adoption of sourcing tools, process improvements, and best practice within the category.
  • Ensure sourcing activity complies with JLL procurement policies, ethical standards, and governance frameworks.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience, with meaningful experience in infrastructure, networks, telecom, or end-user computing categories.
  • Experience supporting category strategies across multiple regions or business units.
  • Proven ability to manage procurement projects from strategy through execution with moderate oversight.
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation, TCO analysis, and supplier performance management.
  • Demonstrated success adopting AI to accelerate and enhance job functions.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with technology and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across procurement, IT, finance, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with major infrastructure hardware, network carrier, and telecom/mobile providers and their commercial models.
  • Working knowledge of end-user computing lifecycle management and hardware refresh planning.
  • Experience sourcing network connectivity or unified communications services.
  • CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent procurement certification (or working toward one).
  • Experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or professional services environments.

Success Metrics

  • Savings and value delivered against the assigned sub-category targets, validated and approved through the agreed benefits process
  • Growth in managed spend and contract coverage across the assigned sub-categories, in line with the $2.0 billion 2030 ambition
  • Sourcing events, refresh cycles and renewals delivered to the category calendar, with no unmanaged expiries
  • SRM executed to Centre of Excellence standards — review completion, scorecard population and adherence to agreed cadence
  • Stakeholder satisfaction across IT infrastructure leads and business partners

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
