We recruit bus drivers for several large bus companies across the Netherlands, with a focus on public transportation.

Cities: Arnhem , Nijmegen, Eindhoven, and Utrecht

Working as a bus driver with our clients means playing a vital role in transporting passengers from point A to point B every day. As the face of the company, you ensure that people reach their destination safely, comfortably, and on time. You'll have the opportunity to work independently while being part of a close-knit team.

Flexibility is essential: no two days are the same, and you will work various shifts, from early mornings to late evenings. Our client offers thorough training, excellent conditions, and ample opportunities for career development. Whether you are an experienced driver or almost new (minimum 1 year) to the profession, you will be warmly welcomed and fully supported to succeed.

Job Description

  • Acting as a host/hostess during the bus ride, providing service to passengers
  • Driving the bus under all conditions, ensuring safe and comfortable transport for passengers and the safety of other road users
  • Operating normal and/or electric buses (15- 18 metres)
  • Opcional: Digital ticket sales
  • Reporting irregularities and issues, such as traffic jams, bus occupancy, road conditions, and detecting defects in street furniture
  • Assessing the general technical condition of the vehicle and recording detected defects on the appropriate form
  • Preparing the bus for operation, including refilling oil, water, and air, setting the route, inserting and setting the tachograph disc (if necessary), checking the functionality of onboard equipment, and ensuring all necessary items are present

Requirements

(We will not interview candidates who do not meet all the criteria listed below)

  • English level: minimum B1
  • EU nationality or EU citizenship
  • Valid EU driver's license D
  • Valid Code G5 and a valid Tachograph card (must be arranged in the candidate's home country if not already acquired)
  • Recent experience within the past 3 years
  • Mínimum experience duration: 1 year
  • Must provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC) later in the process

Salary

  • Net salary starting from €2,600 per month minimum (Salary is increasing based on years of experience in public transport)
  • Collective Labor Agreement (CLA), different per client
  • Weekly Hours: 36/40-hour workweek depending on client's CLA
  • Holiday Allowance: 8% paid weekly
  • Overtime is paid weekly
  • Shift allowances apply for irregular working hours

Travel Cost Compensation!

We offer up to 200 in travel cost compensation for your first arrival from your home country to the Netherlands. This reimbursement will be granted after one month of service with the employer in The Nederland, based on valid travel proof.

  • Travel Allowance: from €0.22 per kilometre for the fastest route according to ANWB route planner (according to CLA per client)

Costs

  • Car rental (optional): €84 per week (own car or rental required)
  • Health insurance: €38.02 per week, deducted from salary
  • Travel costs to the Netherlands are at the candidate's own expense

A strong focus on road safety is essential. Drivers must be constantly aware of their surroundings, follow traffic rules, and prioritize passenger and road user safety.

Adaptability / Flexibility

Public transport can be unpredictable. Drivers must remain calm and adaptable to changing traffic conditions, passenger needs, and shifts. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and split shifts is required.

Communication Skills

Clear communication is vital for interacting with passengers, colleagues, and responding to unexpected situations.
