The Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), with around 2,100 Bachelor’s and Master’s students, is one of the largest and most diverse arts universities in Europe. Its study and research areas include Education, Design, Film, Fine Arts, , Dance, Theatre, and Transdisciplinarity. Located in the heart of Zurich, ZHdK is a dynamic place where passionate people from more than 75 countries work, study, teach, research, and continue their education. The university also hosts numerous exhibition and performance venues where students’ project work is regularly presented to the public. — The Zurich Dance Academy (taZ), Switzerland’s professional ballet school for Classical Dance, is part of the Department of Performing Arts and Film at Zurich University of the Arts. Within its study programmes (basic and advanced studies), the academy trains young national and international talents to become professional stage dancers in classical ballet.

For classical ballet classes, the Dance Academy (taZ) Zurich is seeking, as of February 1st 2027 or by arrangement, a:

Accompanist 80%

Your responsibilities The role involves providing professional musical accompaniment for classical ballet classes across all levels – from basic studies to advanced studies. You will support teaching with sensitive and stylistically diverse musical interpretation and accompany the dancers’ work dynamically. A further focus lies in providing musical support for rehearsals Classes generally take place Monday to Friday, in the mornings and afternoons.

Your profile You have a solid piano education and strong improvisational skills. In addition, you bring several years of experience in accompanying professional dance classes in classical ballet, pas de deux, and classical variations.
