Pictet Trading & Sales (PTS) provides direct access to global markets, offering bespoke trading solutions across a wide range of asset classes. Our teams of sales traders, IT specialists, strategists and quant analysts are assisted by a full suite of risk and control functions as well as the latest technology.

 

PTS is looking to hire a Middle Officer - Forex, Securities and Securities Lending for a 12-month period to join a large team of professionals in the middle office of our trading floor. This position combines day-to-day operational responsibilities with a clear mandate to help automate and streamline the activities covered by the role. You will be responsible for booking and controlling PTS securities lending and related collateral activities. In a second step, you will also reconcile FX transactions and positions between the position-keeping system and the booking system, as well as perform troubleshooting.

Your role ##

  •    Monitoring and controlling securities lending transactions, positions and returns.
  •    Monitoring the receipt and delivery of collateral with counterparties.
  •    Investigating and resolving issues on collateral and returns.
  •    Contributing to process automation and efficiency improvements using programming and AI-based tools (e.g. for reconciliations, controls and reporting).
  •    Providing high-quality service with internal entities such as PTS, Pictet Wealth Management, Pictet Asset Services, Pictet Overseas Inc. and Tech & Ops.
  •    As a secondary role, supporting FX controls by investigating booking errors, reconciling FX transactions and positions, and helping to ensure STP for FX instruments such as options and NDFs.

Your profile ##

  •    Prior professional experience in the banking industry is an asset.
  •    Good knowledge of banking operations; knowledge of securities and lending is a plus.
  •    Knowledge of Avaloq and Excel.
  •    Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, VBA or similar) and strong interest in using data and AI tools to improve processes.
  •    Strong organisation and priority-management skills.
  •    Diligent and able to work under pressure.
  •    Team player.
  •    Fluent in French with a good grasp of English.

-    Swiss residency or willingness to relocate.

 

For this opportunity, we are looking for a conscientious person and strong communicator, motivated to learn more about securities lending as well as Forex activities within a cohesive team, and keen to leverage programming and AI tools in a middle-office environment.

Start date: between October 2026 and January 2027
