L'Ufficio federale della dogana e della sicurezza dei confini (UDSC) garantisce la sicurezza globale al confine a favore di popolazione, economia e Stato ed è ben interconnesso a livello nazionale e internazionale. Tra i suoi compiti principali rientrano la corretta e celere imposizione delle merci commerciabili, la rapida gestione del traffico turistico nonché gli ambiti della migrazione e della polizia di sicurezza. Con il Perseguimento penale l'UDSC dispone di una propria autorità inquirente. L'UDSC è nel mezzo della trasformazione digitale. Il programma DaziT consente di semplificare, ottimizzare e digitalizzare tutti i processi doganali, di riscossione dei tributi e di controllo.
