You will contribute to ideation, formulation design, and process development, leveraging your expertise in emulsion and powder systems, their underlying physical principles, and characterization.

You have hands-on experience with formulation and particle engineering technologies such as emulsification, spray drying, fluidized bed coating, extrusion, and granulation. Experience in enhancing bioavailability and developing controlled-release systems for targeted delivery of bioactives is highly desirable.

You will be part of a global, cross-functional team and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to translate innovative concepts into robust formulation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead formulation development projects for food, dietary supplement, and oral pharmaceutical applications.
  • Contribute to and support cross-functional ideation and innovation workshops.
  • Apply experimental design and data analysis to optimize formulations and identify key material and process drivers
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate results through technical reports and presentations.
  • Develop and apply characterization methods to assess formulation and process performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and scientific approaches.
  • Conduct scientific literature and patent landscape searches and collaborate with IP specialists where required.
  • Ensure safe laboratory operations and support continuous improvement of laboratory infrastructure and processes.
  • Train, coach, and guide laboratory staff and technicians.

We bring:

  • A space to grow by encouraging and supporting curiosity and an open mindset.
  • A culture that prioritizes safety and well-being, both physically and mentally.
  • The opportunity to work for a company where sustainability is much more than a claim and is core to our strategy and purpose.
  • A flexible work environment that empowers people to take accountability for their work and own the outcome.
  • Barrier-free communities within our organization where every employee is equally valued and respected - regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity.
  • An eagerness to be one team and learn from each other to bring progress to life and create a better future.

You bring:

  • PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology, Food Teachnology, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field or MSc with a strong track record in industrial formulation and process development
  • Strong expertise in at least two of the following areas: Emulsification, spray drying, fluid bed processing or extrusion, combined with the ability to transfer scientific principles across processing technologies.
  • Deep understanding of the physical principles governing liquid and powder formulation systems.
  • Experience with formulation characterization techniques and analytical methods, such as particle size or morphology analysis, powder flow and compaction behavior.
  • Knowledge of tableting processes is desirable.
  • Experience in bioavailability enhancement and controlled-release technologies is a strong advantage.
  • Strong scientific problem-solving skills with a hands-on, results-driven mindset.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and functions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
