About The Role --------------

ZEEN Tech AG is an award\-winning Swiss startup revolutionizing the food industry with our next\-generation, water\-based frying and drying technology, which we export worldwide. As we grow rapidly, we're looking for passionate individuals to join us.

To expand our Production Team, we are hiring several industrial mechanics. Together, we build our machines from the ground up – from producing the components to assembling the finished, tested machine that goes into operation at our customers' sites. The tasks below describe the full scope of the team's work – no one is expected to do everything. Whether you are a versatile all\-rounder or a specialist in one area such as machining, welding, or assembly, we will put you where your strengths count. Partnering closely with our engineers and electricians, you will help us build robust, food\-safe machines.

Key Responsibilities --------------------

Depending on your profile and experience, you will take on some of the following tasks:

  • Machining \& CNC: Machine components using conventional and CNC\-controlled machines (milling, turning); set\-up, programming, and operation.
  • Laser Cutting: Operate laser cutting equipment to produce precise components from technical drawings.
  • Bending \& Forming: Sheet metal work on press brakes / automated bending systems; programming and operation of forming and bending automation.
  • Welding: Welding work on stainless steel and other materials to drawing and quality specifications.
  • Machine Assembly: Build complete machines and sub\-assemblies from technical drawings, integrating mechanical components, drives, fasteners, and structural elements into precise, reliable units.
  • Fitting \& Adjustment: Carry out general mechanical fitting and adjustment work to achieve precise fits during assembly.
  • Commissioning \& Testing: Support functional testing and commissioning in close collaboration with Engineering and our electricians; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults.
  • Hygienic Construction: Work with food\-safe materials (stainless steel, specialized plastics/seals) in compliance with food industry standards.
  • Installation \& Service: Install, maintain, and repair our machines.
  • Prototype Building: Help build prototypes and feed improvement ideas back to the Engineering team.
  • Quality \& Documentation: Check fabricated parts and assembly steps against dimensional, quality, and hygiene requirements, and document the results.

Requirements \& Qualifications ------------------------------

* Education: Completed apprenticeship (EFZ) as Polymechanic, Production Mechanic, Plant and Equipment Constructor, or an equivalent mechanical trade qualification. * Experience: Hands\-on experience in one or more of the following areas – you don't need to bring all of them: \- Machining / CNC (milling, turning) \- Laser cutting\- Bending / forming and bending automation \- Welding (stainless steel an advantage) \- Machine or plant assembly \- Commissioning and troubleshooting * Core Skills: \- Strong mechanical skills and manual dexterity. \- Confident working from technical drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials. \- Experience working with stainless steel and food\-safe materials is an advantage. \- understanding of electrical systems is an advantage. * Mindset: Structured, detail\-oriented, and a true team player, with a feel for precision and clear communication. * Languages: required; a good command of English is an advantage, and Italian is a plus.

Nice to Have ------------

  • Specific background in the food processing equipment sector.
  • Willingness to travel within Switzerland and internationally for assembly and commissioning assignments; valid travel documents an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
