The posting

Join our engineering team on site in Visp on a 1\-year contract, driving the design, maintenance, and GxP validation of critical process measurement systems to support state\-of\-the\-art manufacturing operations.

Fully site\-based roles

This is a fully site\-based role. Working together in person supports close, real\-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Design and specify field instrumentation and measurement technologies (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical) for process and utility systems.
  • Maintain and manage instrument\-related engineering data, loop diagrams, and instrument indexes using COMOS.
  • Support the seamless integration of field devices into DCS, PLC, and process control systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise site installation activities, ensuring strict compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Plan, execute, and troubleshoot loop checks, functional tests, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Execute digital GMP qualification tasks in Kneat and UBIK, supporting IQ/OQ documentation and testing.
  • Collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams across Automation, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Validation.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in instrumentation engineering within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated chemical manufacturing environments.
  • Practical experience managing engineering data and documentation in COMOS.
  • Strong hands\-on knowledge of field device integration, loop testing, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments and digital qualification workflows (experience with Kneat and UBIK is advantageous).
  • Professional fluency in German is mandatory; English proficiency is required.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and a solution\-oriented mindset for multi\-disciplinary site environments.
