Profile Summary

Implements the sales strategy and drives the respective sales process in Hydropower and industries in collaboration with the Local Division Manager and the Business Manager Europe. Generates sales opportunities and secures profitable sales for ABB’s Energy Industries Division and its Business Power Reliability in Switzerland. Builds long\-term customer relationships and ensures immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

Core Responsibilities

  • Focuses on new greenfield projects, as well as on Installed Base (IB) and brownfield penetration and sells the entire solutions portfolio (across automation, excitation, protection, electrification, grid code compliance studies, and digital solutions) in collaboration with other ABB units.
  • Sells entire solutions portfolio to expand ABB’s footprint in Switzerland and acts as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
  • Establishes long\-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and translates the needs of customer into relevant ABB offerings and solutions.
  • Understands the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepares sales plan, reviews them, and proposes recovery plan(s) when needed.

Qualifications for the role

  • Experience in business development, technical sales or bids and proposals, ideally within the power generation, automation, electrification, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong solution selling and value proposition creation abilities, cybersecurity and digital solutions acumen.
  • Strong understanding of project dynamics and Installed Base (IB) concepts and confidently promoting value‑adding solutions.
  • Skilled in identifying, developing, and securing sales opportunities based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Customer\-focused mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills, building long‑term customer relationships and responding quickly and professionally to customer issues.
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 50%).
  • Ability to fluently communicate in and English; additional languages are an advantage (French).

Setzt die Vertriebsstrategie um und steuert den entsprechenden Verkaufsprozess im Bereich Wasserkraft und Industrie in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem lokalen Divisionsvertriebsleiter sowie dem Business Manager Europe. Generiert Verkaufschancen und erzielt profitable Verkaufsabschlüsse für die Division Energy Industries von ABB sowie deren Business Power Reliability in der Schweiz. Baut langfristige Kundenbeziehungen auf und gewährleistet eine schnelle und professionelle Reaktion auf spezifische Kundenanforderungen und Anliegen.

Hauptaufgaben

  • Fokus auf neue Greenfield\-Projekte sowie auf die Durchdringung der installierten Basis (Installed Base, IB) und von Brownfield\-Projekten. Verkauf des gesamten Lösungsportfolios in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen ABB\-Einheiten, darunter Automatisierungs\-, Erregungs\-, Schutz\- und Elektrifizierungslösungen, Netzanschluss\- und Grid\-Code\-Compliance\-Studien sowie digitale Lösungen.
  • Vermarktung und Verkauf des gesamten Lösungsportfolios zur Erweiterung der ABB\-Marktpräsenz in der Schweiz. Repräsentation von ABB\-Produkten und \-Lösungen bei Marketingaktivitäten wie Kampagnen, Messen, Ausstellungen, Konferenzen und Kundengesprächen.
  • Aufbau langfristiger Kundenbeziehungen durch das Verständnis der Kundenanforderungen und die Entwicklung passender ABB\-Lösungen und Angebote.
  • Verständnis der Vertriebs\- und Channel\-Strategie sowie der entsprechenden Preisgestaltung. Erstellung und Überprüfung von Vertriebsplänen sowie Entwicklung von Gegenmaßnahmen und Aktionsplänen bei Bedarf.

Qualifikationen

  • Erfahrung in Business Development, technischem Vertrieb oder im Angebots\- und Ausschreibungsmanagement, idealerweise in den Bereichen Energieerzeugung, Automatisierung, Elektrifizierung oder Industrie.
  • Ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten im Lösungsvertrieb und in der Entwicklung überzeugender Kundennutzenargumentationen sowie Kenntnisse im Bereich Cybersecurity und digitaler Lösungen.
  • Fundiertes Verständnis von Projektdynamiken und Installed\-Base\-Konzepten sowie die Fähigkeit, wertschöpfende Lösungen überzeugend zu positionieren.
  • Erfahrung in der Identifikation, Entwicklung und erfolgreichen Umsetzung von Vertriebschancen auf Basis von Kundenbedürfnissen und Markttrends.
  • Ausgeprägte Kundenorientierung sowie starke Kommunikations\- und Verhandlungsfähigkeiten mit Fokus auf den Aufbau langfristiger Kundenbeziehungen und eine schnelle, professionelle Bearbeitung von Kundenanliegen.
  • Reisebereitschaft von bis zu 50 %.
  • Verhandlungssichere Deutsch\- und Englischkenntnisse; weitere Sprachen, insbesondere ösisch, sind von Vorteil.

Responsabilités principales

  • Se concentre sur les nouveaux projets Greenfield ainsi que sur le développement de la base installée (Installed Base, IB) et des projets Brownfield. Commercialise l’ensemble du portefeuille de solutions (automatisation, systèmes d’excitation, protection, électrification, études de conformité aux codes réseau et solutions numériques) en collaboration avec les autres unités d’ABB.
  • Vend l’ensemble du portefeuille de solutions afin de renforcer la présence d’ABB en Suisse et agit en tant qu’ambassadeur commercial des produits et solutions ABB lors d’activités marketing (campagnes, salons professionnels, expositions, conférences et rendez\-vous clients).
  • Établit des relations clients à long terme en comprenant leurs exigences et en les traduisant en offres et solutions ABB pertinentes.
  • Comprend la stratégie de vente indirecte et la politique tarifaire associée. Prépare les plans de vente, les analyse et propose des plans d’actions correctifs lorsque cela est nécessaire.

Qualifications requises

  • Expérience en développement commercial, vente technique ou gestion des offres et appels d’offres, idéalement dans les secteurs de la production d’énergie, de l’automatisation, de l’électrification ou de l’industrie.
  • Solides compétences en vente de solutions et en création de propositions de valeur, ainsi qu’une bonne compréhension des enjeux liés à la cybersécurité et aux solutions numériques.
  • Excellente compréhension des dynamiques de projet et des concepts liés à la base installée (IB), avec la capacité de promouvoir avec assurance des solutions à forte valeur ajoutée.
  • Aptitude à identifier, développer et concrétiser des opportunités commerciales sur la base des besoins des clients et des tendances du marché.
  • orientation client, excellentes compétences en communication et en négociation, avec une capacité à construire des relations durables et à répondre rapidement et professionnellement aux demandes des clients.
  • Disponibilité pour des déplacements professionnels pouvant atteindre 50 % du temps.
  • Maîtrise courante de l’allemand et de l’anglais ; la connaissance d’autres langues, notamment le français, constitue un atout.
