The posting

The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy and become the key link between our customers in Eastern Europe and Ukraine and our global service and engineering teams. In this impactful role, you will combine technical expertise, project management, and customer focus to resolve complex quality and service challenges, drive successful recovery projects, and help ensure the reliability of critical energy infrastructure across the region.

How you'll make an impact

Serve as the primary customer interface for quality and service-related matters in Eastern Europe, with a strong focus on Ukraine. Act as the communication and coordination bridge between customers, local Ukrainian organizations, and Hitachi Energy's Engineering, Troubleshooting, and Service teams in Switzerland. Assess equipment damages and technical issues related to Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB). Coordinate repair, refurbishment, and recovery activities from initial damage assessment through successful project completion. Support field service teams remotely during inspections, troubleshooting activities, and emergency interventions. Prepare professional damage assessment reports, technical findings, and repair recommendations in Ukrainian and Russian. Review, translate, and communicate field reports, inspection findings, technical documentation, and repair proposals between customers and internal stakeholders. Manage communication with customers throughout the repair process, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and alignment of expectations. Coordinate technical clarifications, material requirements, logistics interfaces, and repair schedules between Ukraine and the Service Switzerland organization. Communicate technical findings, corrective actions, repair recommendations, and mitigation measures to customers and relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely escalation, tracking, and resolution of quality and service-related issues. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of quality assurance, service, and project management processes. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and professional issue management. Travel within Eastern Europe and Ukraine as required.

Your background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Information Technology. Experience in project management, service operations, installation, maintenance, or repair of high-voltage equipment. Knowledge of Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), or related high-voltage equipment is highly desirable. Experience in coordinating complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and international teams. Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian, and English is mandatory. German language skills are considered a strong advantage. Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and customer communications in Ukrainian and Russian. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively across cultures and in a dynamic international environment. Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and customer-facing communication skills. Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10-20%).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
