Position Summary ##

As Senior Quality Engineer, you will be at the heart of our commitment to aviation excellence. In this influential role, you will help shape a proactive quality and safety culture, ensure compliance with complex aviation regulations, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. Working closely with operational teams, Management, customers, OEMs and aviation authorities, you will turn regulatory and operational requirements into practical, effective solutions. Your expertise will support safe, efficient and compliant operations while helping us continuously improve the way we work.

Main Responsibilities ##

 

  • Audit Program Management: Plan and conduct audits, coordinate resources, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure findings are effectively and promptly closed.
  • Investigations and Human Factors: Lead or support MEDA and occurrence investigations, identify root causes, and help strengthen Human Factors Error Management.
  • Certifying Staff Assessments: Conduct Part 145 certifying staff assessments and help build a positive, proactive quality and safety culture.
  • Quality and Safety Performance: Promote quality, safety and human factors across the organization, encouraging better and more sustainable ways of working.
  • Management Reporting: Review audit and occurrence data, identify key trends and root causes, and present clear insights and recommendations to Management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes, evaluate their impact and support the implementation of suitable solutions.
  • Authority and Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with authorities such as FOCA and FAA, as well as customers and OEMs, on approvals, audits, findings and authorizations relating to Part 145, Part 21, SMS, MOE and POE.
  • Capability and Interface Management: Review Part 145 and Part 21G capability list amendments, and help ensure effective cooperation between Part 21J/G and Part 145 stakeholders.
  • Procedure and Process Development: Create, review and improve Quality and Safety procedures, workflows and documentation together with operational teams and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation System Oversight: Monitor the company documentation system and ensure that documents, changes and updates are properly controlled and clearly communicated.
  • Training and Coaching: Coach and advise operational staff on procedures, regulations, quality, safety, SMS, MOE, POE and human factors. Support awareness initiatives and help develop practical training materials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities, apply industry best practices, simplify workflows and lead or support projects that enhance quality, safety and operational performance.

Desired Characteristics ##

 

  • A degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or aeronautical engineering, or an ICAO aircraft maintenance or pilot-s license.
  • At least ten years of maintenance, production or design experience within the aviation industry.
  • Extensive experience conducting Part 145 certifying staff assessments.
  • Formal qualifications in QMS, SMS, auditing techniques, MEDA investigation and Human Factors Error Management.
  • Strong knowledge of quality and safety management tools, concepts and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part M, Part 21G, Part 21J, Part 66 and Part 147, as well as Human Factors, SMS, MEDA, ISO 9000 auditing concepts, EN 9100 and EN 9110 requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, together with strong report-writing and procedure-development capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key information within complex situations.
  • A structured and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently, use initiative and drive quality programs through to successful completion.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage colleagues and positively influence changes in working practices.
