Руководит работой инструкторского состава пожарной части по осуществлению функций государственного пожарного надзора в охраняемом районе (на объекте). Организует и контролирует караульную службу и повседневную работу личного состава части. Проводит занятия по профессиональной подготовке с личным составом части, организует индивидуально-воспитательную работу. Возглавляет работу по подготовке личного состава к работе в непригодной для дыхания среде. Контролирует состояние, правильность хранения, эксплуатации изолирующих противогазов, средств связи, оборудования и снаряжения, обеспечивающих безопасность работы личного состава. Выезжает на места тушения пожаров, ликвидации аварий, стихийных бедствий и возглавляет руководство работой подразделений Государственной противопожарной службы. Организует и обеспечивает выполнение мероприятий по технике безопасности, охране труда и производственной санитарии. Определяет режим работы личного состава пожарной части, не входящего в состав караула. Устанавливает и поддерживает в подчиненном подразделении внутренний распорядок. Присутствует при смене караулов и проверяет листы нарядов на службу. Контролирует подготовку начальствующего состава пожарной части к проведению занятий. Организует финансово-хозяйственную деятельность части, контролирует использование рабочего времени личным составом и составляет табели учета рабочего времени. Разрабатывает со службами жизнеобеспечения инструкции по их взаимодействию с пожарной частью при ликвидации пожаров, последствий аварии и стихийных бедствий. Принимает меры по обеспечению содержания в постоянной готовности техники, пожарно-технического вооружения, ежемесячно проверяет их состояние и ведение учета расходования горюче-смазочных материалов и огнетушащих веществ. Организует и лично принимает участие в разработке, практической отработке и корректировке планов (карточек) тушения пожаров на пожароопасных объектах. Обеспечивает правильную эксплуатацию служебных и бытовых помещений части, а также их противопожарное состояние.

Высшее профессиональное образование без предъявления требований к стажу работы или среднее профессиональное образование, курсовая подготовка и стаж работы по профилю в Государственной противопожарной службе не менее 3 лет
