2.1. Обеспечивать работу по эффективному и культурному обслуживанию посетителей гостиницы, созданию для них комфортных условий. 2.2. Осуществлять контроль за своевременной подготовкой номеров к приему прибывающих в гостиницу, соблюдением чистоты в гостинице, регулярной сменой белья в номерах, сохранностью имущества и оборудования. 2.3. Информировать проживающих в гостинице о предоставляемых услугах, проводимых специальных акциях, бонусных программах и т. д. Принимать заказы на их выполнение и контролировать их исполнение. 2.4. Давать устные справки, касающиеся предоставляемых гостиницей услуг, расположения городских достопримечательностей, зрелищных, спортивных сооружений и т. д. 2.5. Принимать и оформлять необходимые в деятельности гостиницы документы. 2.6. Осуществлять контроль за исполнением работниками гостиницы указаний руководства. 2.7. Контролировать соблюдение работниками гостиницы трудовой и производственной дисциплины, правил и норм охраны труда, техники безопасности, требований производственной санитарии и гигиены. 2.8. Принимать меры к разрешению конфликтов, возникающих при обслуживании проживающих в гостинице. 2.9. Рассматривать претензии, связанные с неудовлетворительным обслуживанием клиентов, и проводить соответствующие организационно-технические мероприятия. 2.10. Информировать руководство гостиницы об имеющихся недостатках в обслуживании клиентов, принимать меры к их ликвидации. 2.11. Выполнять отдельные служебные поручения своего непосредственного руководителя.

Администратор гостиницы должен знать: действующее законодательство РФ, касающееся гостиничного обслуживания; правила предоставления гостиничных услуг в РФ; правила и методы организации процесса обслуживания клиентов; порядок содержания жилых и других помещений гостиницы; основы эстетики, этики, психологии и культуру обслуживания посетителей; приемы и методы оказания доврачебной медицинской помощи; основы экономики, организации труда и управления; структуру управления гостиницей, права и обязанности работников гостиницы; трудовое законодательство; правила внутреннего трудового распорядка; правила и нормы охраны труда, техники безопасности и противопожарной защиты.
