Осуществляет библиотечное и информационно-библиографическое обслуживание в сельской библиотеке: оперативно и качественно выполняет работы по обслуживанию читателей, оказывает помощь в подборе информации по запросам пользователей, выполняет библиографические справки и тематические подборки литературы. Изучает читательские интересы: проводит индивидуальные беседы, анкетирование, анализ читательских формуляров, участвует в составлении коллективных и индивидуальных планов чтения. Ведет библиотечную документацию: дневник работы библиотеки, читательские формуляры, картотеку отказов и др., и несет ответственность за их достоверность. Ведет учет деятельности на своем рабочем месте и принимает участие в составлении отчета о результатах деятельности библиотеки. Участвует в разработке и осуществлении плана работы библиотеки. Самостоятельно разрабатывает и оформляет тематические и жанровые выставки. Способствует популяризации лучших образцов научно-популярной и художественной литературы, других документов с помощью индивидуальных бесед, выставок, библиографических обзоров, обсуждений книг, читательских конференций, литературных вечеров, викторин и др. Принимает участие в разработке сценариев, в подготовке и проведении массовых мероприятий. Обеспечивает знакомство читателей с минимумом библиотечно-библиографических знаний: знакомство с правилами пользования библиотекой, расстановкой фонда, справочно-библиографическим аппаратом, структурой и оформлением книги, справочными изданиями и т. д. Осуществляет расстановку документов в фонде библиотеки. В часы для внутренней работы и в санитарные дни осуществляет полную проверку правильности расстановки фонда и просмотр печатных изданий для выявления ветхих и нуждающихся в ремонте. Участвует в проведении периодических проверок фонда, согласно приказу, подписанному директором МКУК МЦБС . Обеспечивает надлежащий контроль за несанкционированным выносом документов; предусматривает меры по сохранности библиотечного фонда при открытом доступе: проводит профилактические беседы с читателями, принимает меры для своевременного возврата документов и т.д. Принимает участие в изучении состояния фонда библиотеки. В установленные сроки и качественно выполняет поставленные руководством задачи, поручения, информирует руководителя о результатах проделанной работы и имеющихся проблемах, предлагает возможные варианты их преодоления. Изучает новые информационные технологии. Проводит работу по популяризации библиотеки, ознакомлению пользователей с задачами, возможностями и деятельностью библиотеки. Способствует расширению спектра информационно-библиотечных услуг, оказываемых библиотекой. Участвует в областных, районных, зональных мероприятиях, принимает участие в проектах. Работает с оргтехникой в соответствии с инструкциями, обеспечивает ее сохранность. Соблюдает трудовую и производственную дисциплину, правила техники безопасности, гигиены труда и противопожарной безопасности.

Библиотекарь - среднее профессиональное образование (библиотечное, культуры и искусства, педагогическое) или среднее (полное) общее образование без предъявления требований к стажу работы.
