Некоторые должностные обязанности медсестры УЗИ: Подготовка оборудования . Медсестра проверяет работоспособность аппарата, подготавливает необходимые датчики, следит за наличием расходных материалов (геля, одноразовых салфеток). Подготовка пациента . Медсестра встречает пациента и объясняет, как будет проходить процедура, помогает раздеться и занять необходимое положение на кушетке. Ассистирование врачу . Медсестра помогает наносить гель на кожу пациента, позиционирует датчик, удерживает его в нужном положении, обеспечивает удобное положение пациента во время исследования. Оформление документации . Медсестра ведёт медицинскую документацию, заполняет карты пациентов, регистрирует их, следит за наличием необходимых бланков, ведёт учёт расходных материалов. Обеспечение безопасности . Медсестра ответственна за соблюдение санитарно-эпидемиологического режима в кабинете, за чистоту и порядок, за дезинфекцию оборудования. Следит за наличием необходимых средств индивидуальной защиты и контролирует их правильное использование. Оказание неотложной помощи . Медицинская сестра должна быть подготовлена к оказанию первой доврачебной помощи в случае неотложных ситуаций: остановка сердца, шок, резкое ухудшение состояния. Следить за техническим состоянием оборудования . В случае выявления неисправностей или поломок медсестра должна незамедлительно сообщить об этом своему руководителю и предпринять необходимые меры для их устранения.

Знания: анатомия и физиология человека, принципы визуализации органов и тканей с помощью ультразвуковых волн, стандартные протоколы проведения различных видов ультразвуковых исследований. Навыки: подготовка и настройка ультразвукового оборудования различных типов, позиционирование пациентов для оптимальной визуализации разных органов и систем, выбор правильного режима сканирования для конкретного исследования и другие. Техника безопасности: знание техники безопасности при работе с ультразвуковым оборудованием, умение обрабатывать датчики и другие части аппарата с соблюдением санитарно-эпидемиологических норм. Оказание неотложной помощи: владение методами оказания неотложной помощи при возникновении экстренных ситуаций во время процедуры, например, при аллергической реакции на контрастный препарат.
