Например: обеспечивает наличие, хранение и доступ к нормативным правовым актам, содержащим государственные нормативные требования охраны труда для общеобразовательных учреждений; разрабатывает проекты локальных нормативных актов, обеспечивающих создание и функционирование системы управления охраной труда в школе; готовит предложения в разделы коллективного договора, соглашения по охране труда и трудовых договоров с работниками школы по вопросам охраны труда; взаимодействует с представительными органами работников школы по вопросам условий и охраны труда, согласовывает локальную документацию по вопросам охраны труда. Обеспечение подготовки сотрудников школы в области охраны труда . Например: выявляет потребности в обучении и планирует обучение работников по вопросам охраны труда; проводит вводный инструктаж по охране труда, координирует проведение первичного, периодического, внепланового и целевого инструктажа, обучает работников методам и приёмам оказания первой помощи пострадавшим; оказывает методическую помощь заместителям директора школы, руководителям методических объединений по вопросам охраны труда и безопасности жизнедеятельности школьников, в разработке инструкций по охране труда. Сбор, обработка и передача информации по вопросам условий и охраны труда. Например: информирует сотрудников школы об условиях и охране труда на рабочих местах, о риске повреждения здоровья, предоставляемых им гарантиях, полагающихся им компенсациях и средствах индивидуальной защиты; участвует в расследовании несчастных случаев, произошедших с работниками и учащимися школы, анализе причин травматизма, в разработке мероприятий по их предотвращению; контролирует состояние и исправность средств индивидуальной и коллективной защиты. Составление перспективного плана работы на год (четверть), предоставление анализа работы за год директору школы.

Специалист по охране труда должен уметь: разрабатывать проекты локальных нормативных актов с соблюдением государственных нормативных требований охраны труда; использовать системы электронного документооборота; пользоваться цифровыми платформами, справочными правовыми системами, базами данных в области охраны труда; использовать прикладные компьютерные программы для формирования проектов локальных нормативных актов, оформления отчётов, создания баз данных и электронных таблиц.
