Информирование. Рассказывать занимающимся, как пользоваться спортивным оборудованием и инвентарём, объяснять правила этичного поведения, сообщать о расписании программ и о противопоказаниях. Организация и проведение занятий. Подбирать программу с учётом особенностей людей (возраст, вид деятельности), демонстрировать технику выполнения упражнений, разъяснять, как дозировать нагрузку, чтобы снизить риск травм. Контроль и корректировка. Следить за тем, как люди выполняют упражнения, вовремя замечать ошибки и помогать их исправить. Консультирование. Помогать подбирать формы самостоятельных занятий, активного отдыха с учётом интересов и уровня подготовки человека. Обеспечение безопасности. Контролировать безопасное использование оборудования, при необходимости оказывать первую помощь до приезда медиков. Документооборот. Вести записи о записавшихся, фиксировать результаты занятий, готовить отчёты. Методическая работа. В некоторых случаях консультировать педагогов или родителей (например, в образовательных учреждениях).

Умения: Разъяснять и демонстрировать техники безопасного использования спортивного оборудования и инвентаря. Контролировать соблюдение занимающимися правил этичного поведения. Определять личную мотивацию и цели занимающихся. Вести документооборот по формированию записи на занятия. Использовать технику и методы страховки занимающихся. Знания: Правила поведения в месте организации занятий. Анатомия человека, основы биомеханики двигательной деятельности, основы возрастной психологии и воспитания. Гигиенические требования и нормы, предъявляемые к занятиям физической культурой и спортом. Методика физического воспитания различных возрастных групп. Принципы тренировочного процесса. Нормативные акты в сфере физической культуры.
