1. Несет ответственность за наличие и сохранность музейных ценностей (по списку) в закрепленных за ним залах. 2. Приступает к работе в отмеченное время. Вместе с ответственным дежурным по музею принимает и сдает согласно акту закрепленную за ним экспозицию, о чем делается запись в книге Приема и сдачи экспозиционных произведений . 3. Соблюдает правила и нормы охраны труда, производственной санитарии и противопожарной безопасности согласно инструкции. 4. Включает при потребности электрический свет. 5. Следит за уровнем освещенности, предотвращая прямое попадание солнечных лучей на экспонаты. 6. При определенных погодных условиях в установленное для этого время проводит проветривание помещений музея, регулирует температурно-влажностный режим под контролем главного хранителя и реставратора. 7. Осуществляет общий контроль поведения посетителей музея. Следит за выполнением посетителями правил поведения в музее, регулирует их движение. Информирует посетителей о размещении отделов в экспозиции, о режиме работы музея. 8. Оказывает помощь посетителям музея в пределах своей компетенции.
