Проводит проверку технического обследования лесных участков. Подготавливает и оформляет комплект учетно-технической документации для проведения государственного учета лесных участков. Подготавливает и оформляет договоры о предоставлении лесных участков в постоянное (бессрочное) пользование, безвозмездное срочное пользование и соответствующую документацию в соответствии с действующим законодательством. Организует, подготавливает и оформляет материалы для ведения государственного лесного реестра. В установленном порядке организует прием, учет и проверку информации об обнаружении признаков появления вредителей, болезней, неблагополучного состояния, значительного или массового поражения лесов, а также проведение и контроль качества лесопатологических обследований. Организует мероприятия по охране, защите, воспроизводству лесов, в том числе подготавливает документацию по размещению заказа на выполнение данных работ. Осуществляет мероприятия по организации контроля за выполнением лицами, осуществляющими использование лесов, условий заключенных договоров аренды лесных участков постоянного (бессрочного) пользования лесными участками, безвозмездного срочного пользования лесными участками, купли-продажи лесных насаждений. Осуществляет мероприятия по приемке в установленном порядке лесных участков после завершения на них работ лицами, осуществляющими использование лесов, а также приемку лесных участков по окончании срока договоров аренды лесных участков, безвозмездного срочного пользования лесными участками и прекращении постоянного (бессрочного) пользования. Организует и осуществляет контроль и надзор за: состоянием лесов на землях лесного фонда и соблюдением Правил санитарной безопасности в лесах, Правил использования лесов на территории лесничеств (лесопарков); пожарной обстановкой на землях лесного фонда на территории лесничеств (лесопарков); соблюдением условий договоров аренды участков лесов на землях лесного фонда, условий государственных контрактов на поставки товаров, выполнение работ, оказание услуг для государственных нужд, соблюдением требований лесохозяйственных регламентов и проектов освоения лесов; качеством лесохозяйственных работ. Организует и осуществляет контроль и надзор за проведением мероприятий по противопожарному обустройству лесов, за организацией работ по тушению лесных пожаров, санитарно - оздоровительных мероприятий. Обеспечивает контроль и надзор, в соответствии с решениями органов государственной власти (органами местного самоуправления), по ограничению пребывания граждан в лесах период высокой пожарной опасности. Обеспечивает на территории лесничеств своевременное выявление (обнаружение) нарушений лесного законодательства, незамедлительное оформление необходимых по лесонарушениям материалов.
