- Разрабатывает предложения по основным задачам, формам и содержанию государственной политики, показателям развития, а именно по вопросам реализации экономической, научно-технической, информационной государственной политики в сфере транспортного комплекса в области развития грузоперевозок и флота, технической и технологической базы транспортных коридоров и логистики. - Разрабатывает мероприятия по переключению грузопотоков с наземных видов транспорта на внутренний водный транспорт. - Формирует реестр маршрутной сети пассажирских перевозок по внутренним водным путям. - Формирует предложения по развитию грузовых и пассажирских перевозок. - Формирует предложения по развитию грузовых и пассажирских перевозок, координации деятельности субъектов Российской Федерации по созданию межрегиональных операторов перевозок пассажиров внутренним водным транспортом. - Анализирует деятельность администраций бассейнов по содержанию подходов и рейдов к причальной инфраструктуре и выработка предложений по их совершенствованию. - Способствует развитию государственного информационного мониторинга по распределению грузопотоков, напряженности грузовых перевозок и интенсивности использования внутренних водных путей. - Осуществляет сбор информации и выполнение анализа объемов грузоперевозок речным транспортом, включая пассажирские перевозки. - Участвует совместно с другими структурными подразделениями Учреждения в реализации концепций, программ развития внутреннего водного транспорта и реализации концепции реформирования системы управлений внутренними водными путями. - Анализирует обновление и рост тоннажа флота. - Проводит анализ условий для развития отечественного судостроения в пределах компетенции отдела.

Владение: - навыками делового письма; - навыками работы с компьютером на уровне уверенного пользователя (программы Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, справочно-правовая система) и другой оргтехникой; - навыками работы с базами данных, написанием запросов на SQL, Qgis; - иностранным языком (перевод со словарем).
