Предоперационный осмотр и оценку пациента: сбор анамнеза, оценку физического состояния, выявление факторов риска, определение степени риска анестезии и операции. Выбор и планирование метода анестезии: на основании диагноза, характера оперативного вмешательства и состояния пациента врач выбирает оптимальный вид обезболивания (общая, регионарная, местная, седация) и составляет план анестезии. Премедикацию: назначение медикаментозной подготовки перед операцией для снижения тревоги, усиления эффекта анестезии и уменьшения секреции. Проведение анестезии во время операции: обеспечение бессознательного состояния (при общей анестезии), обезболивания, мышечной релаксации и контроля над дыханием и кровообращением. Врач управляет аппаратом искусственной вентиляции легких (ИВЛ), вводит препараты, контролирует глубину наркоза. Мониторинг жизненно важных функций: непрерывный контроль артериального давления, пульса, сатурации кислорода, ЭКГ, капнографии (содержания CO2 в выдыхаемом воздухе) и других показателей на протяжении всей операции. Ведение пациента в послеоперационном периоде: наблюдение за пробуждением, восстановление самостоятельного дыхания, адекватного кровообращения и обезболивание. Профилактика и лечение послеоперационных осложнений (тошноты, рвоты, болевого синдрома). 2. Лечебная работа в отделении реанимации и интенсивной терапии (ОРИТ) Это вторая ключевая область деятельности реаниматолога. Оказание неотложной помощи: диагностика и лечение состояний, угрожающих жизни (шок, кома, острая дыхательная или сердечная недостаточность, тяжелые травмы, отравления). Интенсивное наблюдение и лечение: ведение пациентов в критическом состоянии, требующих замещения или поддержки жизненно важных функций. Это включает проведение ИВЛ, управление гемодинамикой с помощью вазопрессоров и инотропной поддержки, проведение заместительной почечной терапии (диализ). Проведение реанимационных мероприятий: выполнение комплекса сердечно-легочной реанимации при клинической смерти. 3. Организационно-методическая работа Взаимодействие с врачами других специальностей: участие в консилиумах, совместное ведение пациентов в пред- и послеоперационном периодах. Ведение медицинской документации: оформление протоколов анестезии, реанимационных карт, историй болезни. Наставничество: руководство работой среднего медицинского персонала (медсестер-анестезистов).

Врач-анестезиолог-реаниматолог должен в совершенстве знать: Физиологию и патофизиологию дыхания, кровообращения, водно-электролитного обмена.
