Проводит занятия по адаптированной физической культуре согласно разработанному плану. Регулирует физическую нагрузку в соответствии с задачами, формой организации адаптивного физического воспитания, функциональных возможностей занимающихся. Контролирует физическое состояние занимающихся во время проведения занятия по адаптивной физической культуре. Обеспечивает безопасность проведения занятия по адаптивной физической культуре. Составляет рекомендации занимающимся, их законным представителям о проведении занятий по адаптивной физической культуре в домашних условиях. Пользуется специализированным спортивным инвентарем и оборудованием для занятий адаптивной физической культурой, техническими средствами реабилитации. Ведет воспитательную, рекреационно-досуговую, оздоровительную работу с инвалидами, и лицами, имеющими отклонения в состоянии здоровья, всех возрастных и нозологических групп на максимальную коррекцию отклонений в развитии и здоровье занимающихся, на устранение или возможно более полную компенсацию ограничений жизнедеятельности в установленном порядке. Способствует социализации занимающихся, расширению круга их общения в процессе занятий по адаптивной физической культуре. Проводит отбор и спортивную ориентацию наиболее перспективных для дальнейшего спортивного совершенствования занимающихся. Создает условия, предупреждающие случаи травматизма во время занятий.
