Проверяет при плановом поступлении больного наличие необходимой медицинской и иной документации, при внеплановом поступлении изучает сопроводительную документацию (при ее наличии), производит осмотр больного, оценивает его состояние и наличие у него медицинских показаний для госпитализации, устанавливает предварительный диагноз заболевания и делает необходимые назначения, при необходимости оказывает неотложную медицинскую помощь. Организует или самостоятельно проводит необходимые диагностические и лечебные процедуры. При обнаружении у больного признаков повреждений криминального происхождения сообщает об этом в территориальный орган внутренних дел. Руководит работой подчиненного ему среднего и младшего медицинского персонала (при его наличии), содействует выполнению им своих должностных обязанностей. Контролирует правильность проведения диагностических и лечебных процедур, эксплуатации инструментария, аппаратуры и оборудования, рационального использования реактивов и лекарственных препаратов, выполнение правил техники безопасности и охраны труда средним и младшим медицинским персоналом. Участвует в проведении занятий по повышению квалификации медицинского персонала приемного отделения. Планирует свою работу и анализирует показатели своей деятельности. Обеспечивает своевременное и качественное оформление медицинской и иной документации в соответствии с установленными правилами. При необходимости участвует в проведении противоэпидемических и санитарно-гигиенических мероприятий в помещении приемного отделения. Осваивает и внедряет в практику работы приемного отделения новые организационные формы, современные средства и методы диагностики, лечения, основанные на достижениях современной науки, практики и передового опыта медицинских организаций. Проводит санитарно-просветительную работу. Соблюдает правила и принципы врачебной этики и деонтологии. При необходимости участвует в проведении токсикологической экспертизы и экспертизы временной нетрудоспособности. Квалифицированно и своевременно исполняет приказы, распоряжения и поручения руководства учреждения, а также нормативно-правовые акты по своей профессиональной деятельности. Соблюдает правила внутреннего распорядка, противопожарной безопасности и техники безопасности, санитарно-эпидемиологического режима. Оперативно принимает меры, включая своевременное информирование руководства, по устранению нарушений техники безопасности, противопожарных и санитарных правил, создающих угрозу деятельности медицинской организации, его работникам, пациентам и посетителям. Систематически повышает свою квалификацию.
