Осуществляет разработку мероприятий, направленных на повышение уровня организационно методического руководства всеми структурными подразделениями инфекционной службы области. Систематически представляет главному врачу больницы показатели деятельности стационарного звена больницы, инфекционной службы области, уделяя особое внимание эффективности работы коечного фонда,качеству и характеру диагностики,длительности и качеству лечения больных,летальности в стационарах,правильности ведения медицинской документации. Рассматривает и принимает, по поручению Министерства здравоохранения области, отчеты лечебно профилактических учреждений, оказывающих помощь по направлению инфекционных заболеваний населению области, составляет сводный отчет об их деятельности и представляет его в Министерство здравоохранения. Проводит анализ и обобщение на основании данных официальных статистических отчетов и материалов проверок, результатов деятельности инфекционных учреждений области и их подразделений. Контролирует своевременное оформление реестров в страховые компании.Участвует в разработке предложений по дальнейшему улучшению инфекционной службы области и представление их, по согласованию с главным внештатным инфекционистом области, руководству Министерства здравоохранения. Осуществляет организационно методическую и консультативную помощь руководителям инфекционных учреждений, их подразделений, врачам инфекционистам области, вне зависимости от подчиненности их лечебно диагностической и экспертной деятельности, а так же участвует в непосредственной проверке указанной деятельности этих учреждений по заданиям вышестоящих органов здравоохранения.
