Разрабатывать и внедрять технологические процессы изготовления изделий, деталей, узлов. инструкции, другую технологическую документацию, режимы производства на сложные виды работ. Устанавливать пооперационный маршрут изготовления изделий, деталей, узлов. Составлять планы размещения оборудования, технического оснащения и организации рабочих мест, рассчитывать производственные мощности и загрузку оборудования. Отрабатывать конструкцию изделий, узлов, деталей на технологичность. Разрабатывать методы технического контроля и методики испытания продукции. Согласовывать разработанную документацию с подразделениями предприятия, вносить свои изменения в техническую документацию в связи с изменением и корректировкой разработанных технологических процессов. Составлять технические задания на проектирование приспособлений, оснастки и инструмента, предусмотренных разработанной технологией. Принимать участие в проведении экспериментальных работ по освоению новых технологических процессов, а также планов новой техники и контролировать их выполнение. Осуществлять контроль соблюдения технологической дисциплины в производственных подразделениях. Участвовать в реализации мероприятий, направленных на снижение трудоемкости, повышение производительности труда. Анализировать причины брака и выпуска продукции низкого качества, разрабатывать мероприятия по их устранению. Составлять заявки на технологическое оборудование. Вести расчёт норм расхода материалов на изделия. Разрабатывать мероприятия, направленные на снижение материалоёмкости. Руководить работами и контролировать инженеров-технологов низших категорий.

Знать методические и нормативные материалы по технологической подготовке производства, конструкцию изделий, на которые проектируется технологический процесс, технологию производства продукции; основное технологическое оборудование и принципы его работы; типовые технологические процессы; технические требования, предъявляемые к сырью, материалам и готовой продукции; действующие в производстве нормативно-технические документы, нормативы расхода сырья, материалов, виды брака, способы его предупреждения; руководящие материалы по разработке и оформлению технологической документации; правила по охране труда, технике безопасности, пожарной безопасности и производственной санитарии, правила внутреннего трудового распорядка предприятия; трудовое законодательство РФ.
