Контролировать работу котельных агрегатов, поддерживать заданное давление пара или температуру воды согласно графику тепловых нагрузок и показаниям контрольно-измерительных приборов. Регулировать подачу топлива и воздуха в топку для обеспечения оптимального процесса горения, контролировать состав дымовых газов анализаторами. Обслуживать вспомогательное оборудование: насосы, вентиляторы, дымососы, системы водоподготовки, проверять их техническое состояние и параметры работы. Выполнять техническое обслуживание оборудования согласно регламенту: очистку поверхностей нагрева, замену фильтров, смазку механизмов. Контролировать качество питательной и котловой воды, проводить продувку котлов для удаления накипи и шлама, поддерживать водно-химический режим. Выявлять неисправности оборудования на ранней стадии, принимать меры по их устранению, при необходимости останавливать котёл для ремонта. Действовать при аварийных ситуациях: немедленно отключать котлы при утечке газа, падении давления, перегреве воды, вызывать ремонтные бригады в случае серьёзных поломок.
