Производить прием на склад поступивших оборудования, реактивов, реагентов, расходных материалов, запчастей, СИЗ и других товаров в строгом соответствии с Инструкцией о порядке приема продукции производственно-технического назначения по качеству и количеству, своевременно его оприходовать. Обеспечить размещение товарно-материальных ценностей с учетом наиболее рационального использования складских помещений, а также требований правил пожарной безопасности с учетом совместимости или несовместимости хранения различных веществ и материалов в одном складском помещении. Обеспечить сохранность находящихся на складе товарно-материальных ценностей путем соблюдения правильных режимов хранения, способов размещения, исключающих порчу или случайное их повреждение. Вести контроль за сроками хранения находящихся на складе товарно-материальных ценностей. Своевременно ставить в известность командира отряда о приближающемся сроке годности хранящихся материалов и решении вопроса об их быстрейшем использовании. Своевременно предоставлять в бухгалтерию акционерного общества отчетность о движении товарно-материальных ценностей по установленным бухгалтерским учетом формам. Следить за наличием в помещениях склада первичных средств пожаротушения, своевременно пополнять их, следить за исправностью пожарно-охранной сигнализации, комплектностью другого складского инвентаря. Готовить склад и принимать личное участие в проведении инвентаризации. При необходимости обеспечить сбор, хранение и своевременный возврат на центральный склад возвратной тары, другого погрузочного инвентаря.

Должность заведующего складом может занимать лицо, имеющее среднее или среднее профессиональное образование и стаж работы по учету и контролю не менее одного года.
