Санитарный врач по общей гигиене должен быть подготовлен для самостоятельной профессиональной деятельности и выполнения основных функций: организационной, диагностической, консультативной, лечебной и профилактической. Он должен сочетать глубокую теоретическую подготовку с практическими умениями, ответственно относиться к порученному делу, быть требовательным к себе и подчиненным, постоянно повышать свою профессиональную компетентность и уровень общей культуры, занимаясь непрерывным самообразованием.Санитарный врач по общей гигиене обязан применять на практике принципы научной организации труда, активно использовать электронно-вычислительную и лечебно-диагностическую технику применительно к профилю своей деятельности, уметь ориентироваться в современной научно-технической информации, эффективно использовать ее для решения практических задач, проявлять инициативу, принципиальность и добросовестность в работе.2. Санитарный врач по общей гигиене должен:2.1. Оценивать санитарно-эпидемиологическую ситуацию, выделять приоритетные факторы неблагоприятного воздействия на здоровье и принимать действенные меры.2.2. Оценивать гигиеническую эффективность планируемых мероприятий.2.3. Осуществлять санитарный контроль за своевременной реализацией гигиенических вопросов.2.4. Организовывать лабораторно - инструментальный контроль за объектами народного хозяйства и состоянием окружающей среды.2.5. Анализировать результаты санитарных обследований, лабораторных исследований и давать квалифицированное заключение.2.6. Анализировать результаты расследования вспышек острых кишечных заболеваний и пищевых отравлений совместно с эпидемиологом.2.7. Знать нормативно-методические материалы, регламентирующие качество атмосферного воздуха и воздуха рабочих помещений, питьевой воды, пищевых продуктов, воды водных объектов, используемых для хозяйственно-питьевых и культурно-бытовых целей населения.2.8. Знать особенности гигиенических требований к отдельным видам зданий и учреждений жилищно-гражданского назначения, системам сбора, удаления и обезвреживания бытовых и промышленных отходов.2.9. Знать нормативно-методические документы по гигиене планировки населенных мест и уметь использовать их при осуществлении предупредительного и текущего санитарного надзора.2.10. Знать гигиенические требования к пестицидам, применяемым в сельском хозяйстве, и особенности их токсического действия.2.11. Уметь провести санитарное обследование объектов коммунального хозяйства, торговли, общественного питания, пищевой промышленности, промышленных объектов, детских дошкольных, школьных, подростковых учреждений с применением лабораторно-инструментальных методов исследования.2.12. Уметь организовать работу по гигиеническому воспитанию населения отдельных профессиональных групп.2.13. Уметь организовать работу санитарного отдела санэпидстанции, составить отчет и подготовить отдельные материалы для рассмотрения в партийных, советских органах.
