- Выявляет и учитывает на территории обслуживания одиноких престарелых и инвалидов, семьи с детьми, в том числе детьми-инвалидами, нуждающиеся в социальной поддержке, определяет характер и объем необходимой им помощи, организует ее предоставление нуждающимся гражданам. - Консультирует по различным вопросам социальной защиты. - Содействует активизации потенциала собственных возможностей отдельного человека, семьи или группы. - Ведет работу с заявлениями граждан об оказании социальной помощи, проводит обследование материально-бытового положения граждан, готовит соответствующие документы (заявления, акты обследования) на комиссию. - Координирует работу по социальному обслуживанию с предприятиями торговли, общественного питания, здравоохранения, коммунального хозяйства, предприятиями и учебными заведениями. - Проводит среди населения работу по пропаганде здорового образа жизни, планированию семьи, соблюдению санитарно-гигиенических норм, мер противопожарной защиты, предупреждению бытового и дорожно-транспортного травматизма, правонарушений. - Оказывает помощь в семейном воспитании лицам, испытывающим негативное воздействие социального окружения по месту жительства, учебы, работы. - Организует и координирует работу по социальной адаптации и реабилитации лиц, вернувшихся из специальных учебно-воспитательных учреждений и мест лишения свободы. - Принимает заявления и предложения граждан по вопросам социального обслуживания. - Предоставляет клиентам информацию о полном перечне услуг, оказываемых специалистами отделения. - Осуществляет конкретные мероприятия по предоставлению социальных услуг малоимущим гражданам, гражданам оказавшимся в трудной жизненной ситуации, - клиентам отделения. - Вносит данные в регистр получателей социальных услуг. - Организует доставку гуманитарной или других видов материальной помощи, продуктовых наборов, предметов первой необходимости.
