Визуальный осмотр шин и дисков на предмет явных повреждений. При необходимости консультация клиента: объяснение состояния колёс, обоснование необходимости ремонта или замены деталей. Иногда требуется зафиксировать выявленные дефекты в акте приёма-передачи. Аккуратное снятие колёс с автомобиля (часто с помощью пневмоинструмента). Разбортовка и забортовка (монтаж покрышки на диск). При работе с низкопрофильной резиной или шинами RunFlat может использоваться вспомогательный прижим ( третья рука ). Важно не повредить диск или шину. При монтаже часто наносят специальную монтажную пасту, а для легкосплавных дисков. Установка колеса на балансировочный стенд, ввод параметров (ширина, вылет, диаметр). Проведение статической и динамической балансировки с установкой подходящих грузиков (набивных или клеящихся) для компенсации дисбаланса. Поиск и маркировка места прокола (например, с помощью spray-теста или специальной ванны). Зачистка повреждённого участка, нанесение специального клея. В зависимости от типа шины установка кордового жгута, грибка, камерной заплаты или армированного радиального пластыря. После ремонта проверка колеса на герметичность. В некоторых случаях может потребоваться горячая вулканизация для восстановления силового каркаса при сложных повреждениях (боковые порезы, грыжи). Накачка шины до нормативного значения (указанного автопроизводителем) или заправка азотом. Контроль правильной посадки бортов и герметичности посадки шины на диск (на хамп) и ниппеля. Выявление дефектов шин и дисков (порезы, грыжи, биение, трещины, сколы). Иногда регулировка развал-схождения колёс. Поддержание рабочего места в порядке. Проведение планового ТО шиномонтажного станка, балансировочного стенда, пневмоинструмента (смазка, очистка). Своевременное информирование руководства о неисправностях.
