Машинист-крановщик: Обеспечивает управление автокранами (башенными, кабельными, гусеничными), а также другими машинами и механизмами, оснащенными различными грузозахватными приспособлениями, при выполнении: строительно-монтажных и ремонтно-строительных работ; работ по погрузке, разгрузке, перегрузке и транспортировке различных грузов; при выполнении лесозаготовительных работ. Проверяет правильность крепления тросов, канатов, грузоподъемных механизмов и приспособлений, регулирования тормозов и действия предохранительных устройств. Производит регулирование грузоподъемных механизмов и погрузочных устройств. Выявляет и устраняет неисправности обслуживаемых автокранов, грузоподъемных механизмов, машин и приспособлений. Оформляет заявки на необходимые запасные части, инструменты и приспособления. Готовит предложения: по улучшению работы автокранов (других машин и механизмов, оснащенных различными грузозахватными приспособлениями); по графикам осмотров, проверок, ремонта автокранов (других машин и механизмов, оснащенных различными грузозахватными приспособлениями). Принимает участие в: проведении всех видов технического обслуживания и ремонта автокранов (других машин и механизмов, оснащенных различными грузозахватными приспособлениями); списании и сдаче оборудования, запчастей и автокранов в ремонт; в испытании автокранов (других машин и механизмов, оснащенных различными грузозахватными приспособлениями) и определении технических параметров, нормативов расхода сырья и вспомогательных материалов. Выполняет отдельные служебные поручения руководителя подразделения.

Машинист автокрана должен знать: устройство, конструктивные особенности, принцип работы и правила технической эксплуатации автокрана и его механизмов; принцип работы механического, гидравлического и электрического оборудования автокранов всех типов; технологический процесс монтажа оборудования автокрана, стапельной и секционной сборки и разборки изделий, агрегатов, узлов, машин и механизмов; электротехнику и слесарное дело; расположение обслуживаемых производственных участков; схему электропитания двигателей автокрана; предельную грузоподъемность автокрана, тросов и цепей; способы регулирования насосов, клапанов применяемых машин и механизмов в процессе эксплуатации; технические условия на эксплуатацию канатов; правила погрузки автомашин, сцепов, вагонов, платформ; причины неисправностей обслуживаемых машин и механизмов, способы их устранения; требования к использованию средств защиты; способы и приемы безопасного выполнения работ; основы трудового законодательства; Правила трудового распорядка; правила по охране труда, охране окружающей среды, производственной санитарии и пожарной безопасности.
