проведение набора участников в клубное формирование; разработка положения о клубном формировании в соответствии с уставными задачами культурно-досуговой организации; составление перспективных и текущих планов деятельности клубного формирования, ведение журнала учёта посещаемости и работы, а также другой документации; организация занятий в формах и видах, характерных для клубного формирования, подбор репертуара, нотных и литературных материалов; проведение творческих отчётных мероприятий о результатах деятельности клубного формирования (концерты, конкурсы, выставки, соревнования, показательные занятия и открытые уроки, мастер-классы и т. п.); обеспечение участия клубного формирования в общих программах и акциях культурно-досуговой организации; подготовка участников клубного формирования для представления их творческих достижений в муниципальных, региональных, всероссийских и международных фестивалях, выставках, конкурсах, смотрах, турнирах и показах; обеспечение необходимой численности участников клубного формирования; разработка предложений по смете расходов и доходов деятельности клубного формирования; обеспечение художественного уровня и творческих результатов деятельности клубного формирования.

Руководитель клубного формирования должен знать, например: законы и иные нормативные правовые акты, касающиеся деятельности организаций культурно-досугового типа; структуру культурно-досуговой организации; формы и методы организации массового досуга населения; теорию и практику соответствующего вида художественного или технического творчества; основы психологии и педагогики, методику клубной работы
