2. Хормейстер руководит работой вокального или хорового коллектива (студии). Разрабатывает перспективные и текущие планы работы коллектива. Ведет журнал учета работы. Несет ответственность за достоверность заполняемых документов о деятельности коллектива. Осуществляет регулярные занятия с любительским коллективом по совершенствованию исполнительского мастерства, организует учебно-методическую работу. Обучает навыкам пения и чтения с листа. Принимает участие в разработке и проведении массовых клубных мероприятий. Обеспечивает регулярность занятий творческого коллектива соответственно расписанию работы, а также наполняемость коллектива. Готовит репертуар для работы коллектива и регулярно его обновляет. Должен обеспечивать годовую норму новых постановок полной тематической программы концерта со сквозным сюжетом по специальному сценарию, а также участие в смешанных концертах, требующих образно-сценического решения, количеством номеров, определенных руководством клубного учреждения. Участвует в подготовке сметы по проводимым мероприятиям с участием вокально-хорового коллектива. Рабочее время хормейстера предусматривает непосредственную работу с коллективом как репетиционную, так и концертную, а также работу с солистами и концертмейстерами, а также работу по подбору репертуара, подготовку сценарного плана концертной программы, проведение монтажных репетиций со свето-звукооператорами и техническим персоналом сцены, гастроли творческого коллектива, учебно-воспитательную работу и работу с документами, работу по повышению собственного профессионального мастерства и с методической литературой.

Хормейстер должен знать: - Постановления и решения Правительства РФ, определяющие развитие культуры и искусства; - Основы трудового законодательства; - Основы законодательства по культуре; - Основные направления культурной политики города и края; - Постановления, распоряжения, приказы, другие руководящие и нормативные документы вышестоящих органов; - Основы экономики, а также основы организации труда и управления; - Структуру учреждения и перспективы его развития; - Правила по охране труда, технике безопасности и противопожарной защите.
