Выполнять ремонт и восстановление работоспособности паровых и водогрейных котлов, вспомогательного оборудования, трубопроводов, тепловых сетей, пароконденсатных и систем теплоснабжения (включая трубопроводную арматуру). Проводить плановые осмотры и техобслуживание по графику, выявлять дефекты и определять объём необходимых ремонтных работ. Осуществлять разборку, сборку, регулировку, наладку и испытания оборудования и узлов в соответствии с технической документацией. Участвовать в приёмке оборудования в ремонт и сдаче из ремонта, проводить испытания и опрессовку после ремонта. Обеспечивать безопасные условия труда: подготовка рабочих мест к ремонту, соблюдение требований охраны труда, уборка рабочих мест после работ. Вести журналы осмотра, техобслуживания и ремонта, оформлять ремонтную документацию. При необходимости (после обучения и проверки знаний) дублировать обязанности оператора котельной.

Среднее специальное техническое (при наличии подготовки и опыта работы по профессии, профиль образования не важен). Умение работать с нормативными документами, которые касаются теплоснабжения потребителей, безопасной работы котельного оборудования, организации производственно-хозяйственной деятельности котельной. Знание нормативных и правовых актов по теплоснабжению, а также требований в области охраны труда, пожарной, промышленной и экологической безопасности. Понимание устройства, технических характеристик и конструктивных особенностей паровых и водогрейных котлов, а также вспомогательного оборудования (насосов, теплообменников, деаэраторов, водоподготовительных и ёмкостных установок). Владение технологиями ремонта котельного и вспомогательного оборудования, трубопроводов (пара, горячей воды, технологических сред) и трубопроводной арматуры (запорной, регулирующей, предохранительной, отсечной); умение выявлять и устранять дефекты. Навыки слесарных работ, достаточные для выполнения ремонтных задач. Знание свойств используемых материалов - металлов, прокладочных материалов, горюче‑смазочных материалов. Умение читать чертежи и технические схемы. Уверенное пользование офисными программами. Наличие II группы по электробезопасности.
