Оказывает квалифицированную медицинскую помощь по своей специальности, используя современные методы профилактики, диагностики, лечения и реабилитации, разрешенные для применения в медицинской практике, проводит обследования пациентов с целью выявления стоматологических заболеваний терапевтического профиля и постановки диагноза. Участвует в проведении обязательных предварительных (при поступлении на работу) и периодических медицинских осмотров (обследований) работников, занятых на тяжелых работах и на работах с вредными и (или) опасными условиями труда по своей специальности, используя современные методы диагностики, разрешенные для применения в медицинской практике; организует лабораторные и функциональные исследования, предусмотренные Перечнем вредных и (или) опасных производственных факторов, при наличии которых проводятся обязательные предварительные и периодические медицинские осмотры (обследования) факторов и Перечнем работ, при выполнении которых проводятся обязательные предварительные и периодические медицинские осмотры (обследования) работников; выявляет заболевания, состояния, являющиеся медицинскими противопоказаниями для продолжения работы, связанной с воздействием вредных и (или) опасных производственных факторов, а также работ, при выполнении которых обязательно проведение предварительных и периодических медицинских осмотров (обследований) работников в целях охраны здоровья населения, предупреждения возникновения и распространения заболеваний; обеспечивает правильное и своевременное оформление медицинской и иной документа ции в соответствии с установленными правилами; проводит санитарно-просветительную работу; добросовестно и своевременно исполняет приказы, распоряжения и поручения руководства, а также нормативно-правовые акты по своей профессиональной деятельности; соблюдает правила внутреннего распорядка, противопожарной безопасности и техники безопасности, санитарно-эпидемиологического режима.

На должность врача - стоматолога-терапевта назначается лицо, имеющее высшее образование - специалитет по специальности "Стоматология", прошедшее подготовку в интернатуре/ординатуре по специальности "Стоматология терапевтическая" или дополнительное профессиональное образование - профессиональная переподготовка по специальности "Стоматология терапевтическая" при наличии подготовки в интернатуре/ординатуре по одной из специальностей: "Стоматология общей практики", "Стоматология". Повышение квалификации не реже одного раза в 5 лет в течение всей трудовой деятельности.
