Обеспечивает рациональную организацию труда среднего и младшего медицинского персонала, координирует и контролирует работу среднего и младшего медицинского персонала, оказывает консультативную помощь подчиненному ей персоналу, содействует выполнению им своих должностных обязанностей.Участвует в проведении индивидуальной оценки нуждаемости граждан в социальном обслуживании на основе установленного порядка, в исполнении индивидуальных планов социального сопровождения, программ социальной реабилитации инвалидов, находящихся на стационарном обслуживании в учреждении.Участвует в разработке критериев оценки качества предоставления социальных услуг. Анализирует объем и качество оказываемых социальных услуг, прогнозирует развитие процесса социального обслуживания получателей социальных услуг. Контролирует правильность и своевременность проведения лечебных процедур, эксплуатации оборудования, рационального использования лекарственных препаратов, соблюдение правил техники безопасности и охраны труда средним и младшим медицинским персоналом. Обеспечивает проведение инструктажа со средними медицинскими работниками при приеме на работу и на рабочем месте. Ведет установленную медицинскую учетно-отчетную документацию. Осуществляет своевременную выписку, распределение и правильное хранение лекарственных средств и изделий медицинского назначения, ведет учет их расходования. Участвует в проведении занятий по повышению квалификации медицинского персонала. Взаимодействует с различными учреждениями здравоохранения по вопросам оказания медицинской помощи престарелым гражданам.

На должность старшей медицинской сестры назначается лицо, имеющее высшее и среднее медицинское образование по специальности Сестринское дело имеющая стаж работы медицинской сестрой не менее пяти лет
