Начальник ОМТО обязан: Знать деловые и морально-психологические качества своих подчинённых, постоянно проводить с ними работу по совершенствованию их профессиональной подготовки. Организовывать своевременное обеспечение подразделений Колледжа материальными средствами по подчинённым службами, доброкачественное питание личного состава, контролировать доведение положенных норм материальных средств до каждого курсанта. Организовывать ежегодное проведение инвентаризации всего имущества и техники Колледжа. Координировать деятельность отделения с руководителями структурных подразделений колледжа в направлениях, соприкасающихся с их компетенцией (получение, учёт, хранение и списание полученного имущества, состояние противопожарной защиты жилых и учебных помещений и т.д.). Осуществлять контроль за качеством, правильностью применения и экономным расходованием горючего, смазочных материалов и специальных жидкостей и выполнением требований безопасности при обращении с ними, а также ежемесячно докладывать директору Колледжа результаты использования лимитов их расхода. Знать наличие и состояние имущества, оборудования и техники в подчинённых подразделения и службах, обеспечивать правильную её эксплуатацию, своевременное обслуживание и ремонт.

Стаж работы в области материально-технического обеспечения не менее 5 лет.
