1)Работа со сведениями, составляющими государственную тайну, ведение секретного делопроизводства. 2) Контролирует соблюдение установленных сроков хранения секретного делопроизводства, готовит перечни документов, подлежащих уничтожению, для рассмотрения их на заседаниях экспертной комиссии, участвует в уничтожении документов. 3) Участвует в проведении эвакуации секретных документов в кризисных ситуациях. 4) Проводит инструктаж работников, допущенных к государственной тайне. 5) Анализ и оценка состояния технической защиты информации, разработка и доклад руководству предложений по совершенствованию системы технической защиты информации; 6) Информирование руководства о выявлении возможных технических каналов утечки информациии и угрозах безопасности информации, связанных с несанкционированным доступом к информации на объектах информатизации; 7) Планирование мероприятий по обеспечению технической защиты информации в Ульяновскстате, организация их выполнения и контроль за их эффективностью; 8) Разработка проектов распорядительных документов по вопросам организации защиты информации и нормативно-методических документов по защите информации; 9) Организация, участие в проведении аттестационных испытаний. 10) Предоставление установленной отчетности о состоянии технической защиты информации в территориальном органе в Росстат. Режим работы: пн-чт: 08:00-17:00, пт: 08:00-16:00 Обед с 12:00 до 12:48.

Гражданский служащий, замещающий должность Главного специалиста-эксперта, должен иметь высшее образование по направлениям подготовки (специальностям) профессионального образования, Национальная безопасность и оборона государства", "Информационные системы и технологии", "Радиоэлектронные системы и комплексы", "Информационная безопасность телекоммуникационных систем", "Информационная безопасность", "Компьютерная безопасность", "Противодействие техническим разведкам", "Информационная безопасность автоматизированных систем".
