Осуществляет работу по технической подготовке теле-, радиооборудования к выходу в эфир. Обеспечивает бесперебойную и безопасную работу всего оборудования. Осуществляет подготовку спецификаций на приобретение материально-технических ресурсов. Своевременную подготовку технической документации, необходимой для получения (продления) свидетельств о регистрации СМИ; лицензий на осуществление телевизионного и радиовещания (вещательная); лицензий на оказание услуг связи для целей эфирного вещания (связная); разрешений на эксплуатацию объектов связи; разрешений на использование радиочастот или радиочастотных каналов и других разрешительных документов. Является исполнителем договоров (по технической части) и оператором и исполнителем договоров (по хозяйственной части).

Знать: Законы Российской Федерации, регламентирующие деятельность печатных и электронных СМИ: О средствах массовой информации, О рекламе, О лицензировании отдельных видов деятельности, О связи, О защите детей от информации, причиняющей вред их здоровью и развитию, Об обязательном экземпляре документов, Об охране здоровья граждан от воздействия окружающего табачного дыма и последствий потребления табака, О противодействии экстремистской деятельности .
