Оказание квалифицированной помощи. Врач проводит диагностику: собирает анамнез (в том числе у близких пациента), выполняет психопатологическое, неврологическое и физикальное обследование, ставит диагноз с опорой на МКБ. На основе этого подбирает тактику: назначает медикаментозную терапию, при необходимости включает психотерапевтические методы, разрабатывает план лечения и реабилитации. Работа с острыми и неотложными состояниями. Специалист оказывает экстренную помощь: стабилизирует пациента при тяжёлом алкогольном делирии, острой энцефалопатии, неуправляемом психомоторном возбуждении, угрозе суицида. При необходимости организует госпитализацию, в том числе в недобровольном порядке строго в рамках закона. Диспансерное наблюдение. Врач ведёт учёт пациентов с наркологическими расстройствами на закреплённом участке, планирует и контролирует диспансерное наблюдение, оценивает динамику состояния и эффективность лечения, работает над профилактикой рецидивов. Экспертные функции. Проводит экспертизу временной нетрудоспособности (оформляет листки нетрудоспособности). Участвует в медико-социальной экспертизе (МСЭ), а также может выполнять судебно-психиатрические экспертизы. Медицинское освидетельствование. Проводит освидетельствование на состояние опьянения (алкоголь, наркотические средства, психотропные вещества): оценивает клинические признаки, исследует выдыхаемый воздух, отбирает биологические объекты (мочу, кровь) и направляет их в лабораторию для химико-токсикологического анализа. Профилактическая и санитарно-просветительская работа. Проводит беседы с пациентами, их родственниками, а также с персоналом больницы и населением. Рассказывает о рисках употребления психоактивных веществ, методах профилактики, возможностях диагностики и реабилитации. Взаимодействие с другими специалистами. Консультирует врачей других профилей в ЦРБ (терапевтов, хирургов и т.п.), координирует работу с социальными службами, психологами, наркологическими диспансерами для комплексного ведения пациента. Ведение медицинской документации. Оформляет истории болезни, амбулаторные карты, протоколы обследований, заключения, отчёты в установленном объёме и в сроки. Организация работы подразделения. Если в структуре ЦРБ есть кабинет или отделение, врач может руководить средним и младшим медицинским персоналом: контролировать правильность проведения процедур, соблюдение правил охраны труда, техники безопасности, корректную эксплуатацию оборудования и использование лекарственных средств. Выполнение административных задач. Своевременно исполняет приказы и распоряжения руководства больницы, заведующего отделением, соблюдает правила внутреннего трудового распорядка
