Обслуживание котельных установок. Регулярное техническое обслуживание котлов, вспомогательного оборудования (насосов, вентиляторов, теплообменников), систем трубопроводов и контрольно-измерительных приборов (КИПиА) Регулирование процесса горения топлива. Загрузка топки (угля, дров, пеллет и др.), шуровка топки (разравнивание слоя топлива для равномерного горения), регулировка тяги и дутья с помощью шиберов и заслонок. Поддержание заданных параметров. Поддержание необходимого давления и температуры воды в отопительной системе. Удаление золы и шлака. Очистка топок, бункеров, колосниковых решёток вручную или механизированным способом, погрузка отходов в транспортные средства для вывоза

для работы машинистом (кочегаром) котельной необходимо профессиональное обучение, прохождение медицинских осмотров, инструктажей по охране труда, получение удостоверения о проверке знаний правил безопасной эксплуатации котлов и требований охраны труда, а также допуска по электробезопасности (II группа). Работа связана с физическими нагрузками (особенно при ручной загрузке топлива) и требует высокой ответственности за безопасность оборудования и предотвращение аварий.
