Производит вычисления в соответствии с действующими тарифами и оформляет счета по установленной форме. Вручную управляет задвижками на водопроводных вводах и в колодцах. Следит за тем, чтобы абоненты соблюдали установленные правила и нормы водопользования, а также выявляет самовольные подключения.

высшего образования бакалавриат. При этом допускается и среднее профессиональное образование (программы подготовки специалистов среднего звена), а также сочетание непрофильного высшего или среднего профобразования с дополнительным профессиональным образованием (повышение квалификации, переподготовка) в сфере водоснабжения и водоотведения, техносферной безопасности, водопользования. правила технической эксплуатации систем и сооружений коммунального водоснабжения и канализации; техническая документация водопроводных и канализационных сетей; требования охраны труда, промышленной и пожарной безопасности, производственной санитарии при проведении работ; методы визуального и инструментального обследования сетей; технология и нормативы проведения работ по техническому осмотру и ремонту; нормативные правовые акты, регулирующие составление отчётности; трудовое законодательство РФ в части организации труда работников и правила внутреннего трудового распорядка организации.
