Врач-эпидемиолог организует работу по профилактике инфекционных заболеваний в зданиях ЛПУ и ЦСО, бактериологической лаборатории. Руководит работой помощника врача-эпидемиолога. Работу осуществляет по индивидуальному годовому плану, по плану работы отдела, утвержденного главным врачом МО. Врач-эпидемиолог районной больницы: 2.1. Осуществляет эпидемиологическую диагностику путей и факторов передачи, условий, способствующих внутрибольничному распространению инфекций, оценку риска инфицирования пациентов и медицинского персонала в ЛПУ. 2.2. Разрабатывает и организует проведение профилактических и противоэпидемических мер, направленных на снижение заболеваемости внутрибольничными инфекциями, ИСМП, летальности и экономического ущерба. 2.3. Оценивает эпидемиологическую и экономическую эффективность профилактических и противоэпидемических мер. 2.4. Организует сбор и анализ ежедневной информации, поступающей из всех функциональных подразделений МО о случаях заболеваний внутрибольничными и другими инфекциями или смерти от них, необычных реакциях при проведении инфузионной терапии или введении иммунобиологических препаратов, о случаях выделения возбудителей инфекционных заболеваний, в том числе внутрибольничных инфекций; с передачей данных заведующей эпидемиологическим отделом и в министерство здравоохранения г. Новосибирск. 2.5. Проводит оперативный и ретроспективный эпидемиологический анализ заболеваемости внутрибольничными инфекциями, выявление закономерностей инфицирования, тенденций и особенностей развития эпидемического процесса внутрибольничных инфекций.

Соблюдать нормы, правила и инструкции по охране труда. 4.2. Правильно применять коллективные и индивидуальные средства защиты. 4.3. Немедленно извещать своего непосредственного или вышестоящего руководителя о любом несчастном случае на производстве или об ухудшении состоянии своего здоровья, в том числе о проявлении признаков острого профессионального заболевания (отравлении). 4.4. Проходить обязательные предварительные и периодические медицинские осмотры. А также проходить внеочередные медицинские осмотры по направлению работодателя. 4.5. Один раз в год проходить плановый инструктаж по охране труда и техники безопасности. 4.6. При установке нового оборудования приступать к эксплуатации только после прохождения внепланового инструктажа и обучения. 4.7. Работать в специальной обуви и специальной одежде, использовать средства индивидуальной защиты. 4.8. Работать, соблюдая правила техники безопасности и пожарной защиты, согласно инструкции. 4.9. До начала работы проверять исправность компьютерной и организационной техники, электроприборов. 4.10. Использовать электроприборы при наличии инструкции и соответствии с ней; в случае неисправности своевременно сообщать своему руководителю. 4.11. В конце рабочей смены проверять отключение компьютерной и организационной техники, электроприборов. 4.12. Знать местонахождение аптечки и правила оказания первой помощи.
