Проведение химических макро- и микроскопических исследований биологического материала. Контроль качества выполняемых исследований, обеспечение точности и надёжности анализов. Подготовка для работы реактивов, химической посуды, аппаратуры, дезинфицирующих растворов. Регистрация поступающего в лабораторию биологического материала для исследований, его обработка и подготовка к исследованию. Обеспечение инфекционной безопасности: соблюдение правил санитарно-гигиенического и противоэпидемического режима, асептики, правильное хранение, обработка, стерилизация и использование изделий медицинского назначения. Ведение утверждённой медицинской учётно-отчётной документации. Оказание доврачебной помощи при неотложных состояниях. Также фельдшер-лаборант должен соблюдать деонтологические нормы поведения, правила трудовой дисциплины и внутреннего распорядка, своевременно приходить и уходить с работы, уведомлять руководителя лаборатории о невозможности выхода на работу по уважительным причинам.
