Водитель-экспедитор материально ответственное лицо. Проверка технического состояния автомобиля осмотр транспортного средства, проверка исправности всех систем, уровня технических жидкостей. Получение товара и документации на складе или в распределительном центре происходит получение груза, сверка количества и ассортимента по накладным, проверка качества и целостности упаковки. Контроль погрузки специалист контролирует правильность размещения товара в кузове, обеспечивая его сохранность при транспортировке. Планирование маршрута на основе маршрутного листа экспедитор определяет оптимальный путь с учётом пробок, ремонтных работ и других факторов, влияющих на время доставки. Доставка груза получателям основная задача своевременная и безопасная транспортировка товаров до конечных пунктов назначения. Работа с документами оформление товарно-транспортных накладных, актов приёма-передачи, сбор подписей от получателей, проверка правильности заполнения документов. Контроль разгрузки обеспечение правильной и безопасной выгрузки товара на территории получателя. Решение спорных ситуаций при обнаружении несоответствий или повреждений груза экспедитор составляет акты расхождения, фиксирует претензии и принимает решения о дальнейших действиях. Работа с денежными средствами при наличном расчёте приём оплаты, выдача чеков, сдача выручки в конце рабочего дня. Составление отчётности ведение путевых листов, отчётов о расходе топлива, фиксация пробега и других рабочих показателей.

Права категории C E для большегрузных автомобилей нужна категория C, а если планируется управлять большегрузом с прицепом, категория E . Навыки ориентирования на местности умение пользоваться картами и навигационными системами помогает избегать пробок и находить оптимальные маршруты. Водитель-экспедитор несёт ответственность за некачественное и несвоевременное выполнение задач и обязанностей . Также он отвечает за несоблюдение законодательства РФ, инструкций, приказов, распоряжений, правил и других документов, регулирующих работу водителя-экспедитора. Знание автомобиля, навыки мелкого ремонта автомобиля, соблюдение технической исправности автомобиля.
