Амбулаторный приём и визиты на дом. Врач ведёт приём в поликлинике и посещает пациентов дома. Неотложная помощь. Оказывает срочную помощь при острых состояниях, требующих реанимации или интенсивной терапии (например, при анафилактическом шоке, тяжёлых травмах). Диагностика и лечение. Проводит осмотр, оценивает состояние пациента, составляет план обследований (лабораторных, инструментальных ЭКГ, рентген и т.п.). Самостоятельно выполняет многие манипуляции (инъекции, забор анализов, ЭКГ), ставит диагноз, назначает лечение и реабилитацию. При необходимости организует дообследование или консультацию узкого специалиста, а также госпитализацию. Ведение хронических заболеваний. Разрабатывает и корректирует план наблюдения и терапии при таких состояниях, как гипертония, бронхиальная астма, диабет, остеоартроз. Профилактика и диспансеризация. Активно ищет ранние и скрытые формы заболеваний, факторы риска (курение, ожирение, наследственность). Проводит диспансеризацию прикреплённого контингента детей, пожилых, инвалидов. Консультирует по вопросам здорового образа жизни, питания, профилактики. Специфические направления помощи. Оказывает акушерскую помощь, ведёт детей (в том числе новорождённых), помогает пациентам с профессиональными заболеваниями. Патронаж. Осуществляет наблюдение за беременными женщинами и детьми раннего возраста. Экспертная работа. Проводит экспертизу временной нетрудоспособности (выдает листки нетрудоспособности). При признаках стойкой утраты трудоспособности направляет пациента на медико-социальную экспертизу. Также выдаёт заключения о необходимости санаторно-курортного лечения. Противоэпидемическая работа. Организует и проводит мероприятия по предупреждению распространения инфекций, в том числе иммунопрофилактику. При выявлении инфекционного заболевания оформляет и направляет в Роспотребнадзор экстренное извещение. Организационные задачи. Составляет план работы, анализирует показатели здоровья прикреплённого населения (заболеваемость, эффективность профилактических мер). Взаимодействует с другими медицинскими организациями, страховыми компаниями. Иногда руководит работой среднего и младшего медперсонала. Ведение документации. Заполняет медицинские карты, выдаёт справки и заключения.
